DATE.ME.
RESCUE.ME.

The web application DATE.ME.RESCUE.ME deals with the big CO2 footprint of the fashion industry. It is urgent to start eliminating the outdated image of Secondhand clothes. Furthermore, it is very important to show the consequences of fast fashion to excessive consumers. The application is based on a combination of shopping experience, consciousness development for environmental impacts and social platform, which makes the shopping of Secondhand fashion an experience.

In addition to the prototype I coded some screens with HTML and CSS.

Welcoming

Welcoming: The user is welcomed and the application is presented quickly. Furthermore, there are some house rules to be accepted.

Onboarding

Onboarding: Subsequently, the user needs to provide some personal data, to create a profile. The location information is essential for starting the application.

How to start

How to start: On the startscreen the user can choose whether he wants to look for something specific or swipe randomly.

The user can swipe to the right or left. It’s an intuitive working application like the dating App Tinder. In case the user swipes to the right, the article is saved as a favorite in his virtual wardrobe. The article can be bought immediately, too. With every article it is also noted, how much CO2 is saved by buying an used item of clothing.

User Case: Buy it now

Profile

Profile: In every user profile all articles are saved that were uploaded. Furthermore it shows the rating, number of followers and other information. Apart from that, there are three important buttons placed: Editing profile, adding articles and settings.

Globe icon and match function: If there’s a small red button on the globe in the navigation bar, there are news regarding fashion and environment. Everything is shown there that should increase consumer’s awareness of that topic.

A match happens if two users like an article of the other one.
